Purbeck Folk Club aims to bring you events throughout the year with local musicians as well as those from across the country. Our events are usually held on the first Thursday of the month.
The Club (no membership required) is held at
Langton Matravers Village Hall (opposite the church)
High Street, BH19 3HA.

Next Event
Our next event will be Wednesday 3rd December 2025 when The Well will be joining us again.
The Well are creative spirits with very different artistic and cultural backgrounds who have formed an enthusiastic and sympathetic friendship making music they describe as alt-folk. Since they played for us last year, they've made a great impression here in Purbeck having since played at the Square & Compass and Sandy Hill Arts.
Also on the bill will be new old boys band Rinklies Inc. playing their first gig. What could possibly go wrong?

Future Events
On the Thursday 5th February 2026, local singer-songwriter Pete Christie makes his debut at the Club. Pete, described as a “fingerstyle guitarist who plays from the heart and sings from the soul” has played across the country and in Europe, including few times at Swanage Blues Festival and Purbeck Valley Folk Festival.
On the Saturday the 30th May 2026, we have a special concert featuring Winter Wilson who played at this year’s Swanage Folk Festival before they headed off to play in Canada. As I write, they’re planning a tour of Australia.
